Tie Dye Gallery

Shibori, AKA tie dye, has been around for thousands of years–it’s not just a relic of the 1960’s hippie movement. Creating colorful patterns on cloth with compression and dyes is a source of endlessly different pieces of textile art. There are many forms of shibori, some done with thread, some with clamps and pices of wood, others with string around poles, rubber bands, and more.

These images are from multiple years of our  Annual Dyeing Days fun. It may take several minutes to load; enjoy the colors!
