Music
Over the course of the last twenty years, I have been involved in the
recording of more than a dozen CDs, in group, duet, and solo configurations.
Many of these discs are now rarities or out of print, and represent a wide
curve of technological styles and limitations.
The larger part of the catalog is decidedly Ambient and Electronic in
nature, with some notable exceptions. These include work done with The
League of Crafty Guitarists and BrotherSync.
The Bindlestiff discs cover almost a decade of my collaboration
with Dave Stafford. To read "The
Absense of Unwanted Sound", a treatise on Ambient Music, click here. To date, I
have not made public any of my personal observations and remembrances of
these recordings. In reviewing these recordings from my "vault",
I hope to recount for my own sake and any other interested party the details
both personal and technical that I recall.
At The Helm is the new Podcast series about my life in
sound, produced by Glenn Stebleton in conjunction with his podcast
series about independent music in Colorado. Click here to hear!
Other current projects include industrial sound tracks and independent
film scores. Previous scores include the music for "My Elbows Collapsed",
a film for Scottish Television by Andrew Printer. Soundtracks for two pioneering
computer animation works from Cranston-Csuri Labs include "The Blue
Chair", and "Images", which was featured in the 1986 Venice
BiAnnele. This was the first year computer animation was shown at the festival.
Soundtracks have also been created for "The Minds Eye" computer
animation video showcase produced by Odyssey Visual Designs. Along with
Mark Hardgrave and Bret Moreland I have created soundtracks including one
for video clients such as Junior
Achievement.
Another soundtrack accompanies the PowerPoint slideshow presentation
created by Sarajane Helm
to showcase a polymer clay installation featuring a scale model quilt and
fabric shoppe .There's a free download of the show

Below are thumbnails of the covers of the CDs in which my work
is present. Each will link to a page that has more detailed information
about that recording. Please check back during the construction of these
pages, and thanks for visiting.
